Aurender NH10: the Korean brand's first-ever network switch

Founded in 2011, Aurender first made its name with music file transports and players. The NH10 is its very first LAN switch, designed to elevate digital playback to a new level. Thanks to clean power, precise timing and noise-free signal transmission, it aims for musical reproduction of remarkable precision and emotional impact, where an ordinary network switch is often the weak link in an otherwise well-thought-out audio chain.

The listening experience

According to the review published by Polish magazine High Fidelity, inserting the NH10 between the router and the file player immediately transformed the reference system's sound: the soundstage deepened, with the foreground pulling back to give the music more room to breathe. Imaging also improved along the front-back axis, with better differentiation between instruments and sharper spatial placement, even on near-mono recordings. The reviewer also noted deeper, better-nuanced bass, along with a more natural, more believable presentation across jazz, electronic and rock recordings alike. Compared with a switch built into a NAS unit, the NH10 stood out for a calmer, denser, fuller sound, without ever sacrificing dynamics.
