    The HA-2SE gets its successor that will have similar basis and price range but with a lot of improvements and additions compared to its predecessor. As the main feature, it is adorned with a balanced input and output, as well as VU meters on the front.

Carried by this experience, Auris Audio designed new great HA-2SF headphone amplifier. What this amplifier provides will satisfy all high-end users.     Amplifier

    On the front panel, you have the 4-pin XLR balanced output, and the 6.3 mm single ended headphone output, along with the two VU-meters, which will enhance your visual enjoyment. On the top of the unit you have the impedance selectors for the outputs, volume control and as well as the line-in selector switch.

    The HA-2SF have 2 x RCA and 1 x XLR Balanced inputs on the back along with the PRE Out option, which allows you to connect to all your music sources, as well as the possibility of using this great amplifier a Pre Amp for your home system for complete enjoyment. Balanced connectors will bring you the ultimate satisfaction.

    Sound

    The HA-2SF headphone amplifier has a natural sound, layered from the top to the bottom. No loss of details, perfect clarity, precision and airiness with all the headphones plugged into it. The mid range has sensational performance with vocals, the clarity and transparency are all delivered flawlessly. Treble extension seems to always soar and felt endless. Bass had both slam and texture and the extension is excellent, detailed and when called for, it delivers a thunder in producing the sound. The HA-2SF is an amplifier that provides real enjoyment of listening to and playing your favorite music.

This is especially so even on the hard-to-drive AKG K1000, THR-1 handles the music reproduction with K1000 exceptionally well.


    NEED A PREAMP ?
    No problem. The THR-1 can be doubled up as Pre-amp by a toggle switch located right beside the volume pot. In Preamp mode, the headphone output is bypassed, the volume of the Preamp output can be controlled by the volume pot as a passive preamp.

    Planar Magnetic Driver:

Double coils means there are two coils on each side of diaphragm, so there are totally 4 coils on the diaphragm, which makes the diaphragm do the same vibration for the same frequency. Double sides magnet provides the same magnetic power in the field.

    Four coils and double sides magnet ensure excellent magnetic energy conversion, small distortion, good consistency and high music reproduction ability, which makes a real feeling of listening music in a living concert.  

    Diaphragm:

    After more than two years of experiments, the composite diaphragm uses the most appropriate thickness and hardness to make the best combination. The high internal damping base material in the composite diaphragm makes natural and warm vocal, as well as solid bass without loss of depth and elasticity. The ultra-thin and high rigidity base material in charge of high frequency can extend the frequency to be 40KHz, making the high frequency bright, transparent and slim, so as to eliminate the feeling of pressure and harshness. 

    Driver Housing

    The driver housing is made of aviation aluminum material with precise CNC machining. After multiple experiments, the dimension and location for each hole is in high accuracy. Each row of holes are responsible for the uniform distribution of sound in each frequency, which makes sure the diaphragm can do the same vibration for the same frequency. This also ensures the consistency of production and sound quality for each headphone. 

    Earpad

    The earpads are made of goatskin and memory foam. It wears soft and comfortable.

    The ergonomic and special-shaped earpad matches the ears perfect and there is no sound leakage.

    L & R marking is distinct and easy to identify.

    The earpads are detachable, which can be replaced easily and conveniently. 

    Cable & Adaptors

    8-core 6N OCC braided cable ensure no signal loss during transmission. The connector to the headphone side is mini XLR 4 pin, which makes better balance and consistency for the sound quality.

    The XLR 4 pin cable is detachable to the headphone side, which is convenient for upgrading cable.

    The cable is with slant design on the headphone housing, which is beautiful and ensures that the cable does not fall on the shoulder when wearing the headphone.

    The stock cable is with 4.4mm balanced connector. There are adaptors with connectors of 6.35mm and XLR 4 pin in the package, which can cover almost all audio devices.

    World's first in planar magnetic headphones
    Over 30 years of research and development have led to the creation of the first Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver. Meze Audio have collaborated with Rinaro to create a new standard in planar magnetic audio, the resulting technology being one of the lightest and most advanced planar magnetic drivers on the market.
    The Empyrean Driver combines individual switchback and spiral-shaped voice coils, their unique shapes allowing sound to be targeted with more accuracy around the natural form of the ear. This unique combination generates an increased exposure of direct sound wave frequencies over the 10kHz range and improves imaging and localization by decreasing the impact of shortwave time delays caused by diffused field reflections.

    AUDIBLE BENEFITS OF A DUAL DRIVEN SYSTEM

    One of the problems with conventional planar magnetic arrays is coming from reflected signals entering the ear canal with different time delays, thereby worsening the focus of 3D sound imaging.
    Combining different voice coil configurations makes it possible to create a better sound intensity distribution across the sound wavefront at high frequencies when directed at the auricle and ear canal.

    ISOPLANAR® DIAPHRAGM MATERIAL
    The diaphragm is manufactured from a custom developed isotropic thermally stabilized polymer with a conductive layer. Through unique processing methods, an ultralight yet rigid diaphragm has been achieved. SWITCHBACK COIL
    The switchback coil is more efficient at reproducing lower frequencies and is positioned in the upper part of the driver. SPIRAL COIL
    The spiral coil is more efficient at reproducing middle-high frequencies and is positioned directly over the ear canal enabling more direct sound waves to enter the ear without any time delays.

    To create an audiophile headphone that is powerful yet light the driver needed to maximize power output while reducing weight as much as possible.

    Weight was minimized by optimizing a magnet structure around an ovoid shape that fits the ear more closely. Power output was increased through the use of a completely bespoke coil and magnet array design that optimized the active usable area of the driver within its ovoid shape.

    ISOMAGNETIC® EARCUP TO EARPAD COUPLING TECHNOLOGY

    An innovative feature is the Isomagnetic® ear cup attachment which utilizes the demagnetizing field generated by the driver to hold the ear cup in place whilst also redirecting the magnetic field back into the driver and improving driver efficiency.
