Revival Audio Atalante 4: the French floorstander that plays with the very best

Founded in 2021 in Alsace by Daniel Emonts — former Senior Acoustics Designer at Dynaudio and Focal — and Jacky Lee, Revival Audio has built a solid reputation in just a few years on one simple idea: design speakers where every component, from drivers to crossover, is developed and built in-house. The Atalante 4 is the flagship of the floorstanding range: a serious 3-way speaker, beautifully crafted, designed for large rooms and long listening sessions.

Listening impressions

The Atalante 4 doesn't chase the "wow" effect of the first ten minutes. It plays a different game: lasting conviction. Bass reaches 38 Hz with a rare authority and definition — deep, controlled, articulate, never bloated. The midrange reproduces voices with substance and naturalness, making instruments immediately credible. Treble, from the ARID+ soft-dome tweeter, extends high and clean without ever becoming aggressive. The soundstage is wide and stable, with a sense of depth that faithfully reconstructs the recording space — whether a cathedral nave or a jazz club. At low and high volumes alike, the tonal balance remains intact. These are speakers for serious, extended listening.

• Patented ARID+ tweeter: 28 mm soft dome with large rear chamber and resonance frequency lowered to 650 Hz. The Anti Reflection Inner Dome technology absorbs over 95% of parasitic resonances for a clean, non-aggressive treble.
• BSC 13.5 cm midrange: The first Basalt Sandwich Construction midrange driver in high-end audio — a sandwich of basalt fibres (volcanic rock) combining stiffness, light weight and exceptional damping for natural, fast response.
• Dual BSC 18 cm woofers: Two basalt sandwich bass drivers in a rear bass-reflex enclosure with twin ports. Deep, tight and highly articulate bass, suited for rooms of 30 to 60 m².
• Hand-tuned crossover: Internal wiring with Van den Hul Skyline Hybrid cables, selected components, final tuning done by ear by the Revival Audio team. Crossover points: 550 Hz and 3 kHz.
• French cabinetry: Carefully selected real walnut veneer, dual magnetic grille, adjustable Premium Spike feet with solid counter-spikes. Franco-Japanese design by A+A Cooren Studio (Le French Design 100 Award).
• 100% in-house manufacturing: Drivers, membranes, cabinets and crossovers — all designed and built in Alsace. No outsourced transducer components.
