Musical Fidelity M6xi: the new flagship of the M6 range

Musical Fidelity presents the M6xi, the brand-new high-end integrated amplifier in its celebrated M6 range. Building on the remarkable success of its predecessor, the M6si, the M6xi carries forward the same proven formula: massive power, uncompromising engineering and genuinely high-end sound, now enriched with modern connectivity and a refined internal design. It's effectively configured as two independent monoblock power amplifiers paired with a separate preamplifier, sharing a single chassis, and incorporates technology derived from the brand's legendary TITAN power amplifier.

The M6xi now features HDMI eARC for seamless integration with TVs and home cinema systems, along with new coaxial and optical digital inputs, in addition to the already well-established high-resolution USB input. A new isolated 5V/2A USB-A power output, with its own dedicated linear power supply, allows for clean powering of an external streaming device. For custom installations, the M6xi also includes RS232 compatibility.

The listening experience

The M6xi's reproduction stands out for its remarkable ease and natural sound, with nothing to jar the ear. Bass is deep, dense and impactful, with exemplary control; the midrange has body and a lovely grain; the treble stays smooth and extended. The soundstage is very wide while remaining realistic and precise, with plenty of relief, depth and a superb sense of air. Even when driving demanding speakers, it retains great authority and total control while staying musical and never aggressive — an amplifier capable of rivalling far more expensive super-integrateds.
