ISOL-8 PowerLine Extreme

Mains power is the fuel for your high-fidelity system. In theory, the AC supply should deliver a perfect sine wave. In practice, it is often contaminated by other household appliances, generating direct current (DC) offset, distortion, and interference. Designed by Nic Poulson (former BBC sound engineer), the ISOL-8 PowerLine Extreme combines the brand's two most advanced solutions in a single chassis to treat all these anomalies.

Uncompromising Filtering Technologies:

• Axis Technology (DC Blocking): Your electronics' transformers cannot tolerate direct current (DC), which causes magnetic saturation and mechanical hum. The PowerLine Extreme circuit re-centres the mains voltage axis, blocking this DC without ever restricting current flow.

• "High Power" Outlet for Amplifiers: The block features a specific outlet dedicated to power-hungry electronics. Equipped with Axis technology and a high-current shunt filter, it liberates your amplifier's dynamics.

• Transmodal Technology for Sources: The other outlets benefit from exclusive Transmodal filtering. Unlike conventional conditioners that dump noise to ground (polluting your system's signal ground), this technology eliminates both common-mode and differential-mode noise while keeping the earth perfectly clean.

• High-End Construction: The chassis is topped with a 6mm thick, non-magnetic, CNC-machined aluminium plate. Internal wiring is silver-plated copper with PTFE insulation, and the input IEC connector is rhodium-plated.

Listening Review

A true showroom favorite. The ISOL-8 PowerLine Extreme is a mains block that has radically changed our mindset regarding power filtering. Usually, filtered strips tend to generate unwanted side effects: a flat, boring, or overly analytical sound. Here, the effect is exactly the opposite.
