Powerful Preamplifier Functionality

As a G1.1 Series product, ALTAIR G1.1 has been developed with properties and features that ensure its performance is considered “next-level,” and allow for it to be used as a stand-alone preamplifier. Analog Volume Control onboard, similar to that on the VEGA G2.1 and based on a resistive ladder design, provides ultra-quiet signal, no matter the input. Class A Orfeo Output Modules allow for an ultra-low-noise and low-distortion signal in the analog domain.

Altair G1.1 also houses two separate all-analog inputs, completely bypassing the digital structure and maintaining a pure analog signal from input to out.

The first is a line-level analog input, including home theater bypass functionality, and the second is an in-house engineered moving-magnet phono stage for an elegant, direct, and quiet connection to a turntable.

Auralic Lightning DS: an application thought out to the smallest detail

On the software side, Auralic has developed a powerful and complete platform, called Lightning DS (available on iPad and iPhone, Android users can use DLNA / UPnP compatible applications).

Lightning Streaming offers several innovative and unique functions like Gapless Playback, On-Device Playlist, Memory-Cache and Bit-Perfect, Multi-room function, parametric equalizer, music filters, and much more.

These refine the tone of the Altair G1 with four profiles: balanced, dynamic, precise, soft.

The Lightning platform is continuously developed and updated by the Auralic R&D team, to ensure that its customers have the latest innovations and features from the firm.

Qobuz and Tidal online music services are directly integrated into the Auralic Lightning DS app.

This is available in the App Store on iPad and iPhone (Android devices can be equipped with compatible third-party applications). The Lightning platform is also compatible with OpenHome and Roon.
